Soda Blasting is a process in which sodium bicarbonate crystals are applied against a surface using compressed air, it is a very mild form of abrasive blasting, far less aggressive than sand or dry blasting.
The primary advantage of Soda blasting is the soda crystals will break down and dissolve in oil in the event of ingress into engine internals making it a safe way to clean complete engines without having to strip them down first.
Soda blasting is more costly than the dry or vapour blasting processes, as the soda crystals used to clean an item are not retrievable, please enquire for prices.
